Our Achievements

The salient achievements of our development interventions are the following.

 Organization and socio-economic empowerment of more than 3500 poor women in Dakshina Kannda District through Promotion and capacity building of 200 self help groups in partnership with Andheri Hilfe, Bonn, Germany

 Qualitative improvements in personal, economic and social capacities of members through Capacity building trainings and social development awareness programmes organized by ‘Gramajyothi SHG Federation’

 Establishment of ‘Navachthana Multipurpose Souharda cooperative’ a people’s bank owned and managed by members Self Help Groups for their economic empowerment.

 Institution of a social security and insurance programme benefiting about 2000 rural poor to cover life exigencies of sicknesses, accidents death and disability

 Assisted more than 100 very poor families for their basic necessities of housing, education of children, health care etc. through ‘Helping Hand Programme’ an annual fund raising activity for helping the very poor organized by SHG members.

 Assisting more than 500 women to undertake small alternative or supplementary income generation / self employment activities through support from International Labour Organization (ILO) and Sanchi Trust, Mangalore.

 Supporting more than 200 differentially abled children for their rehabilitation and social wellbeing through ‘Community based rehabilitation of differentially abled children’ supported by Liliane Fonds, Netherlands.
