Agency for Development Awakening and Rural Self Help Associations (ADARSHA) was constituted in the year 1997 and registered as a non-profit organization in the year 1999 under Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960 by a concerned group of experienced professionals in the fields of social work, education, agriculture and community development for undertaking social service and development action among the weaker and deprived sections. Mr. Jacob Varghese, a post graduate in Social work (MSW) and a development professional with more than 30 years of service in social work, and community development programmes is the founder Secretary and Chief Functionary of the Organization. ADARSHA is a charitable organization registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, under sections 12 A and 80 G of Income Tax Act and FCRA of Government of India.
